I am not a fan of kids playing video games, however this was recommended to us by our son's Opthamologist. Our son has an eye issue and has to patch his eye. The dr thought this would be good for eye excersice when he was patching. So we use it only when he is patching. My dh has the PSP and the old model ds. I catch my dh playing this more than the PSP. Much more lightweight than the older model, great screens. I also love that it still takes the same games. It has worked out great so far.
